Bed bug heat treatment involves raising the temperature of a structure to kill bed bugs and their eggs. This method is effective because bed bugs are sensitive to heat, with adults and nymphs dying above 118°F and eggs requiring 122°F. Heat treatment can be a more effective and quicker solution than chemical treatments, especially for hard-to-reach areas and in situations where chemical resistance may be a concern.
